The Community Archaeology Program
This Summer's Site
The Community Archaeology Program is designed for members of the public to join an archaeological field project, and help excavate at a nationally important site alongside professional archaeologists. Participants will learn basic archaeological techniques, as well as an overview of the prehistory of New York State.

The Program is open to all members of the public.
July 15 - 19, 2013 | 8:30am to 4:00pm
Fees are $175 for new participants, $25 for returning members.
Binghamton University - Science 1, Room 106

This year, participants will assist in the excavations at a prehistoric site in the Upper Susquehanna Valley. Excavations at the site will provide data for our on-going research projects and enhance our understanding of the people who lived in this valley.

•CAP instructors will tailor field activities to your interests, skills, and physical abilities.
•Transportation will be provided to and from the CAP excavation site.
•On campus paid parking provided.
•Tools and materials necessary for excavation will be provided.
•Participants must bring their own lunch.
